Wrap up warm!  Gumboots on!  Off we go!
A chilly but clear morning did little to dampen the spirits of the eager beavers of Manuka last week as the jumped in, literally boots and all, into another Garden to Table session.  We harvested food for preparing and cooking for our lunch before weeding, mulching, feeding the garden beds ready for winter.  The cold didn't deter us, and we had a great time.

Then hands washed, instructions heard, and the cooking begins!  This week it was 'Pumpkin Mania'.  We were treated to a delicious pumpkin soup with flat breads, impossible pumpkin pies, and finished with chocolate and zucchini cake.  Yummo!  While we waited for it to cook, and the smell made our tummies rumble, we worked on our recipe books.  We all tried a little bit of everything.  The pumpkin soup was so delicious that we were scraping the bottle of the pot.  With lots of smiles, and full tummies we headed out to play.  We are so grateful to Cherry, Rachel and their team of merry helpers who support us in this.  It's always super fun, great learning and something we look forward to!
