Reporting and Assessment
A round of teacher-parent-student conferences is held in the first term.
In the Junior school children receive a report in their first term at school. They also receive a report after each year they have been at school (An anniversary report including National Standards Data) and a report after 6, 18 and 24 months at school. (Interim Report)
In the Senior school a written interim report on each child is sent home at the end of Term 2. A formal written report is provided for each child at the end of the school year. Both of these formats report against the National Standards with the interim report providing an indication of progress towards meeting the standards, and the end of year report providing an overall teacher judgement as to where you child is in regards to the National Standard for their age.
We also provide a progress report for those students in Year 3 who have received an Anniversary report mid way through year 3 (because of when their birthday falls) or for those children who have started their first year of school later in the year, and who have not completed 20 weeks. These reports provide brief summaries on progress and a general comment.
You may request an interview about your child’s progress at any time during the year, just contact your child’s teacher directly to make an appointment. We use a wide variety of assessment methods to track your child’s progress and to plot the next steps towards success.
